
There was a teenager called Pedro* that used to go to our church in Brazil. He was very active in our youth group and always volunteered to help.

One day we found out that his mom had gotten sick and could not work anymore. All their savings was all spent on rent and they could not afford to buy any food. We gathered a couple of friends and bought him enough food for a month.
A couple of months later he would graduate from High School and he told me he was thinking about not going to college because of work. I told him he could do both (as I did) and motivated him to apply for a government loan and a scholarship so he could go to college.
This coming year Pedro will graduate from college with a bachelors degree in Business.

As missionaries to our own land we feel called to empower, equip and unleash the youth in Brazil to bring both personal liberation and social transformation through .
In September of this year we will take practical steps to make this happen. We’ll be headed back to Brazil to catalyze the start of Slingshot Church in São Paulo.
